I didn't really get into photography until my first semester of college, when I was introduced to black and white photography and development. Ever since, my eye has been forever changed. I look at the world searching for the rule of thirds and framing up shots. Since I got my digital camera around Christmas time, I have to budget an additional five minutes to get anywhere, because I am constantly stopping to take pictures.
Photography, for me, is the constant attempt to capture the feeling of a moment: the splendor and majesty of a sunrise, the beauty in a woman's eyes, the gentle delicacy of a flower, the strength and solidity of a skyscraper. Ninety percent of the time, I fail, but in that other ten percent, I am amazed by what a camera can do.
